  1. 1. Frictional studies and high strain rate testing of wood under refining conditions

    Författare :Birgitta Svensson; Hans Höglund; Per A. Gradin; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; Friction; High strain rate testing; Wood; Mechanical pulping; Tribology; Refining; Energy consumption; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : When producing thermomechanical pulps (TMP), wood chips and fiber material are loaded mechanically in a disc-refiner to separate the fibers and to make them flexible. In the process, much of the energy supplied is transferred to the fiber material through cyclic compression, shear and friction processes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Redovisningsinformation för bedömning av små och medelstora företags kreditvärdighet

    Författare :Birgitta Svensson; Erling Peterssohn; Bertil Gandemo; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Business studies; Financial accounting; Financial reporting; Creditworthiness; Credit risk assessment; Small and medium sized Enterprise; Företagsekonomi; Business studies; Företagsekonomi; Business Studies; företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with financial accounting information useful for creditors assessing SME creditworthiness. The literature describes financial accounting as a multi-paradigm science having several theoretical schools. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Ternary Block Copolymer Systems - Phase Behaviour and Phase Structure

    Författare :Birgitta Svensson; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Theoretical chemistry; lyotropic; thermotropic; SANS; SAXS; scattering; semicrystalline; reverse micelle; micellar solution; liquid crystalline; phase diagram; phase behaviour; block copolymer; pluronic; poly ethylene oxide ; poly propylene oxide ; quantum chemistry; Teoretisk kemi; kvantkemi;

    Sammanfattning : Ternary isothermal (25°C) polyoxyalkylene triblock block copolymer ((EO)x(PO)y(EO)x where x is the number of ethylene oxide, EO, segments and y is the number of propylene oxide, PO, segments) systems with water and p-xylene as selective solvents for the PEO and PPO blocks, respectively, were chosen as study systems in this thesis as these ternary systems are good model systems for the self-assembly of block copolymers. The phase behaviour has been studied at varied block copolymer molecular weight and relative PEO/PPO block ratio. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Barn som riskerar att fara illa i sin hemmiljö : Utmaningar i ett förebyggande perspektiv

    Författare :Birgitta Svensson; Staffan Janson; Ulla-Britt Eriksson; Henrik Andershed; Carl-Göran Svedin; Karlstads universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : BaksidestextBarnmisshandel är ett omfattande folkhälsoproblem med långsiktiga negativa konsekvenser för den enskilda individen och för samhället i stort. Förebyggande insatser kan vara livsavgörande för de utsatta barnen. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Old people with femoral neck fracture : delirium, malnutrition and surgical methods - an intervention program

    Författare :Birgitta Olofsson; Olle Svensson; Yngve Gustafson; Bengt Borssén; Anna-Karin Edberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; delirium; hip fracture; older people; orthopaedics; internal fixation; arthroplasty cognitive impairment; dementia; nursing; rehabilitation; femoral neck fracture; RCT; intervention; geriatric team; malnutrition; nurses; Orthopaedics; Ortopedi;

    Sammanfattning : Hip fracture is a global and a growing public health problem. More women than men sustain hip fractures, the incidence increases exponentially with age and mean age is above 80. About one third of hip-fracture patients suffer from dementia and are prone to develop acute confusional state (delirium). LÄS MER
