    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Accident Prevention; Alcohol Drinking; Anti-Bacterial Agents; Antimalarials; Beta-Lactamases; Drug-Resistance; Bacterial; Enterobacteriaceae; Health Knowledge; Attitudes; Practice; High-Throughput Nucleotide Sequencing; Medication Adherence; Metagenome; Metagenomics; Patient Compliance; Proteobacteria; Risk Reduction Behaviour; Risk-Taking; Safe Sex; Travel medicine; Travel; Vaccination; Infectious Diseases; infektionssjukdomar; mikrobiologi; Microbiology;

    Sammanfattning : As international travel is rapidly increasing, more people are being exposed to potentially more antibiotic resistant bacteria, a changed infectious disease epidemiology, and an increased risk of accidents and crime. 2. 2. Genetic subtypes in unicellular intestinal parasites with special focus on Blastocystis

    Författare :Joakim Forsell; Birgitta Evengård; Margareta Granlund; Tom van Gool; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Intestinal parasites; Blastocystis; Entamoeba; Giardia; molecular detection; PCR; subtype; intestinal microbiota; Sweden; Zanzibar; Clinical Bacteriology; klinisk bakteriologi;

    Sammanfattning : The development of molecular tools for detection and typing of unicellular intestinal parasites has revealed genetic diversities in species that were previously considered as distinct entities. Of great importance is the genetic distinction found between the pathogenic Entamoeba histolytica and the non-pathogenic Entamoeba dispar, two morphologically indistinguishable species. LÄS MER
