21. Interpretable Battery Lifetime Prediction Using Early Degradation Data
Sammanfattning : Battery lifetime prediction using early degradation data is crucial for optimizing the lifecycle management of batteries from cradle to grave, one example is the management of an increasing number of batteries at the end of their first lives at lower economic and technical risk. In this thesis, we first introduce quantile regression forests (QRF) model to provide both cycle life point prediction and range prediction with uncertainty quantified as the width of the prediction interval. 22. Statistical Methods for Genome Wide Association Studies
Sammanfattning : This thesis focus on various statistical methods for analyzing Genome Wide Association data. The thesis include four papers, three of them considers the analysis of complex traits, and the last one a method for analyzing mendelian traits. LÄS MER
23. Decipher protein complex structures from sequence
Sammanfattning : Proteins are essential constituents of biological systems. A profound understanding of protein structure is significant for unraveling the intricate mechanisms of biological processes. The recent development of computational methods using AI technology is revolutionizing the structural biology field. LÄS MER
24. Studies on the Role of Apoptosis in Kidney Diseases
Sammanfattning : Apoptosis is one of the most common types of cell death. Under physiological conditions, it plays an essential role in removal of damaged and potentially harmful cells. Excessive apoptosis has however been linked to a number of diseases including proteinuric kidney disease and DKD, and is believed to enhance the disease progression. LÄS MER
25. In silico analysis of microbial communities through constraint-based metabolic modelling
Sammanfattning : Microbial communities are involved in many vital biological processes from elemental cycles to sustaining human health. The bacterial assemblages are remarkably under-studied as they are reluctant to grow in the laboratory conditions. LÄS MER
