1. P-type and polarization doping of GaN in hot-wall MOCVD
Sammanfattning : The devolopment of group-III nitride semiconductor technology continues to expand rapidly over the last two decades. The indium nitride (InN), gallium nitride (GaN) and aluminum nitride (AlN) compounds and their alloys are direct bandgap semiconductors with a wide bandgap range, spanning from infrared(IR) to deep-ultraviolet (UV), enabling their utilization in optoelectronic industry. 2. Surface modification of III-V nanostructures studied by low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy
Sammanfattning : In the past decade, driven by the demand for materials with high performance for next-generation semiconductor devices (e.g. LÄS MER
3. Chemical and physical incorporation of bio-molecules into wood materials for energy storage
Sammanfattning : The environmental impact of fossil-based materials in the building industry and significant energy consumption in residential buildings have urged new research areas in using bio-based, renewable and sustainable materials for production of energy smart bio-based envelopes for building applications. This can be achieved by incorporation of bio-based phase change materials (BPCMs) in wood materials for energy storage in residential buildings. LÄS MER
4. Metal-Organic Complexes at Surfaces
Sammanfattning : The adsorption of different metal-organic complexes at surfaces was investigated by spectroscopic techniques (x-ray photoemission spectroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy, resonant photoemission spectroscopy) and by scanning tunnelling microscopy. The investigation methods are able to provide atomic scale information on the studied systems, which moreover originates from the top-most atomic layers in a sample, meaning that they are surface sensitive techniques. 5. Adventures of III-V Semiconductor Surfaces
Sammanfattning : Tailoring the surface composition and morphology of materials to enable new electronic devices is important for a wide range of applications such as quantum computing or spintronics. A fundamental understanding of the changes induced in the surface during different process steps can help to establish new synthesis routes as well as devices. LÄS MER
