21. Screening for Candidate Brain Tumor Genes : Identifying Genes that Cooperate with Platelet-Derived Growth Factor in Glioma Development and Progression
Sammanfattning : Malignant primary brain tumors, gliomas, often overexpress both platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) ligands and receptors providing an autocrine and/or paracrine boost to tumor growth. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most frequent glioma. Its aggressive and infiltrative growth renders it extremely difficult to treat. LÄS MER
22. Life After Myocardial Infarction in Swedish Women and Men : Coping, Social Support and Quality of Life Over the First Year

An additional aim was to examine differences over time and between women and men in coping, social support and QoL. LÄS MER
23. Biophysical studies of protein folding upon interaction with molecular chaperones
Sammanfattning : Proteins are biological macromolecules that serve all functions in cells. Every protein consists of a sequence of amino acids that is folded into a three‐dimensional structure to maintain the unique information it contains and to allow the protein to perform its specific actions. 24. Integrating Security in Software Engineering Process: The CSEP Methodology
Sammanfattning : In today’s organizations, a vast amount of existing software systems is insecure, which results in compromised valuable assets and has negative consequences on the organizations. Throughout the years, many attempts have been made to build secure software systems, but the solutions proposed were limited to a few add-on fixes made after implementation and installation of the system. 25. EGFR and HER2 Targeting for Radionuclide-Based Imaging and Therapy : Preclinical Studies
Sammanfattning : The optimal way to detect and treat cancer is to target cancer cells exclusively without affecting the surrounding tissue. One promising approach is to use radiolabelled molecules to target receptors that are overexpressed in cancer cells. LÄS MER
