  1. 11. Associative Multicomponent Polymers in Bulk and at Interfaces

    Författare :Fredrik Joabsson; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; polymer adsorption; polymer self-diffusion; polymer-surfactant interactions; phase behaviour; ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose; hydrophobically modified polymers; capillary-induced phase separation; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The solution and interfacial properties of an associative water-soluble cellulose derivative, ethyl(hydroxyethyl)cellulose (EHEC) have been investigated. Main themes have been to study the effect of hydrophobic modification of the polymer (HM-EHEC) and the interactions with surfactants, both in bulk and at interfaces. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Al-Si Cast Alloys - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties at Ambient and Elevated Temperatures

    Författare :Mohammadreza Zamani; Salem Seifeddine; Anders Jarfors; Franco Bonollo; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Aluminium cast alloys; eutectic modification; microstructural scale effect; transition metals; room and elevated temperatures tensile properties; physically-based constitutive model.;

    Sammanfattning : Swedish industry is a global leader in development and manufacture of automotive and aviation components where the usage of aluminium products is remarkable. In addition to manufacturing aluminium components, casting enables low-cost and low-emission production of complex geometry components with a range of sizes. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Cellulose in Quaternary Ammonium-based Solvents: Dissolution, Modification and Coagulation

    Författare :Shirin Naserifar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; gelation; etherification; quaternary ammonium hydroxides; cellulose; dissolution;

    Sammanfattning : Processing cellulose through dissolution and regeneration is essential for many applications, yet challenges are posed because it does not readily melt or dissolve in commonly used aqueous and organic solvents. Consequently, extensive efforts have been devoted to developing novel and efficient solvents for cellulose, as well as exploring new functionalization routes. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Al-Si Cast Alloys - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties at Ambient and Elevated Temperature

    Författare :Mohammadreza Zamani; Anders Jarfors; Sten Johansson; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Al-Si based casting alloys; elevated temperature; microstructural scale effect; Sr modification;

    Sammanfattning : Aluminium alloys with Si as the major alloying element form a class of material providing the most significant part of all casting manufactured materials. These alloys have a wide range of applications in the automotive and aerospace industries due to an excellent combination of castability and mechanical properties, as well as good corrosion resistance and wear resistivity. 5. 15. High performing cast aluminium-silicon alloys

    Författare :Martin Riestra; Salem Seifeddine; Ehsan Ghassemali; Jessica Elfsberg; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Aluminium cast alloys; melt quality; eutectic modification; grain refinement; microstructure; tensile properties;

    Sammanfattning : The need to produce lighter components due to environmental aspects and the development of electrical vehicles represents an opportunity for cast aluminium-silicon alloys. With high specific strength, good castability, high corrosion resistance and recyclability, these alloys offer an attractive combination of properties as an alternative to steel, cast iron and titanium-based components in certain applications.
