Sammanfattning : Denna avhandling behandlar barnets utveckling till konsument och producent hur barns kunskaper, värderingar och beteenden inom ramen för de två rollerna utvecklas. Den ekonomiska socialisationen studeras ur både ett kognitivt utvecklingsteoretiskt och ur ett inlärningsteoretiskt perspektiv och i en empirisk undersökning prövas ett antal förklaringsfaktorer till barns inställning till konsumtion, reklam och sparande samt deras konsument- och arbetsrollsrelaterade kunskaper.
