  1. 11. A Rational Exergy Management Model to Curb CO2 Emissions in the Exergy-Aware Built Environments of the Future

    Författare :Siir Kilkis; Folke Björk; Bahram Moshfegh; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Exergy; CO2 emissions; built environment; buildings; energy system; scenario-based analysis; mitigation strategies; net-zero; LEED; energy transition; transition management; SRA - Energy; SRA - Energi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis puts forth the means of a strategic approach to address a persistent problem in the energy system and in this way, to transition the built environment to a future state that is more exergy-aware to curb CO2 emissions. Such a vision is made possible by the six-fold contributions of the research work: I) An analytical model is developed, which for the first time, formulates the CO2 emissions that are compounded in the energy system as a function of the systematic failures to match the supply and demand of exergy. 2. 12. Energy systems analysis of Swedish pulp and paper industries from a regional cooperation perspective : Case study modeling and optimization

    Författare :Sofia Klugman; Bahram Moshfegh; Thore Berntsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industrial energy system; Optimization; District heating; Energy audit; Co-operation; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The industrial sector uses about one third of the energy end-use in the world. Since energy use in many cases highly affects both the local and global environment negatively, it is of common interest to increase energy efficiency within industries. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Energy renovation of multi-family buildings in Sweden : An evaluation of life cycle costs, indoor environment and primary energy use, and a comparison with constructing a new building

    Författare :Lina La Fleur; Bahram Moshfegh; Patrik Rohdin; Andreas Koch; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Residential buildings account for 27% of the final energy use in the European Union. In cold climates, space heating represents the largest proportion of the energy demand in residential buildings. By implementing energy efficiency measures (EEMs) in existing buildings, energy use can be significantly reduced. LÄS MER

  4. 14. On the performance of stratified ventilation

    Författare :Ulf Larsson; Bahram Moshfegh; Per Heiselberg; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hållbar stadsutveckling; Sustainable Urban Development;

    Sammanfattning : People nowadays spend most of their time indoors, for example in their homes, cars, in trains, at work, etc. In Sweden, the energy demand in the built environment is a growing issue. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, buildings are responsible for about 40 % of total energy use and about 10 % of total CO2 emissions Today more than 60 % of existing Swedish residential buildings are over 40 years old and are in need of major renovation. In addition, 15 % of all multi-family buildings and 27 % of all single-family houses were built before 1945. LÄS MER
