    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cytology; BCL6 rearr; 1q21-23; cytogenetics; histopathology; P-glycoprotein; p53; BCL2; Ki-67; immunohistochemistry; proliferation; dose intensity; health-related quality of life; International Prognostic Index; prognostic factors; aggressive lymphoma; chemotherapy; patologisk anatomi; Patologi allmän ; pathological anatomy; General pathology; cancer; onkologi; Cytologi; cancerology; oncology;

    Sammanfattning : Aggressive lymphoma is a rapidly growing tumour of lymphocyte origin, potentially curable with chemotherapy. In a trial by the Nordic Lymphoma Group, 405 patients with aggressive lymphoma were included, and randomised to receive either the standard chemotherapy regimen, CHOP, or a weekly multidrug regimen, MACOP-B. 2. 2. Mechanisms of therapy resistance in acute lymphoblastic leukemia

    Författare :Kinjal Shah; Avdelningen för translationell cancerforskning; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ALL; B-ALL; T-ALL; dexamethasone; FLT3; Signaling pathways; BCL2; resistance; PLK1; synergy;

    Sammanfattning : Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a highly aggressive pediatric cancer that can affect both B cells and T cells. The advent of new therapies has increased the cure rates for both B-ALL and T-ALL patients. However, some patients still experience relapse with a variable response to the treatment and display poor survival. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a heterogeneous malignancy displaying varying clinical outcome, where molecular markers today can divide patients into prognostic subgroups. Despite the introduction of new agents for treatment, remissions are usually not sustained in CLL and resistance towards treatment can partly be explained by aberrant apoptosis. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Exploring the Genetics of SLE with Linkage and Association Analysis

    Författare :Cecilia Johansson; Marta Alarcón-Riquelme; Peter Gregersen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molecular genetics; Systemic lupus erythematosus; complex disease; linkage analysis; association analysis; Genetik; Genetics; Genetik;

    Sammanfattning : The aim with this thesis has been to identify genes involved in the pathogenesis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). SLE is a systemic autoimmune disorder, most likely caused by both several genetic and environmental factors. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The clinical course of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is highly heterogeneous, which has prompted the search for biomarkers that can predict prognosis in this disease. The IGHV gene mutation status and certain genomic aberrations have been identified as reliable prognostic markers of clinical outcome for this disorder. LÄS MER
