  1. 1. Regulation of growth, differentiation and survival of B-chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells

    Författare :Ola Söderberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pathology; B-CLL; B cells; IL-2; IL-4; IL-10; IL-15; CD40-stimulation; SAC; Thioredoxin; proliferation; differentiation; survival; in vitro; EBV; Patologi; Pathology; Patologi; Pathology; patologi;

    Sammanfattning : Chronic lymphocytic leukemia of B cell type (B-CLL) is the most commonform of leukemia in the Western countries. The signals regulating theexpansion of the B-CLL clone in vivo is yet far from being fully understood. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Tumor-targeted superantigens for experimental immunotherapy of human leukemia/lymphoma

    Författare :Cecilia Weigelt; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Oncology; SAg; SEA; SEAm; HLA class II; TCR; CFL; SDCC; cytotoxicity; TNF a; IFN g; mAb; PA-SEAm; anti-CD19-Fab-SEAm; B-CLL; B-NHL; AML; CML; immunotherapy; Onkologi; Oncology; Onkologi; Clinical Immunology; klinisk immunologi;

    Sammanfattning : Bacterial superantigens (SAgs) have the property of stimulating high proportions of T cells expressing certain TCR Vβ sequences. The SAg first binds with high affinity to HLA class II molecules on the target cell and then stimulates the T cell to produce cytokines and to become cytotoxic. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Regulation of T-cell proliferation and B-CLL apoptosis by CD6 and FAS/FASL

    Författare :Lydia Maria Osorio Fernández; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :T-cell activation; CD6; B-CLL; apoptosis; Fas; FasL;

    Sammanfattning : T-cell activation involves the interaction between the T-cell receptor (TCR) and the peptide/MHC complex presented on an antigen-presenting cell. However, this is not sufficient for the full development of T cell responses and co-stimulatory signals from accessory molecules are required. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Targets for immune mediated killing of tumor cells and T cell functions in B-CLL

    Författare :Eva D Rossmann; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Chronic lymphocytic leukemia; apoptosis; monoclonal antibody therapy; quantitative flow cytometry; cytokines; T cell dysfunctions;

    Sammanfattning : There is a great need for developing and improving treatment alternatives in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL). New therapeutical approaches based on the manipulation of the immune system enable establishment of enhanced control over the malignant clone. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Natural specific T cell immunity in patients with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (B-CLL) : (A clinical and immunological study)

    Författare :Mohammad Reza Rezvany; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :B-CLL; TCR usage; clonality; natural T cell immunity; costimulatory molecules; dendritic cells; cytokines; tumor derived VH-CDR3.;

    Sammanfattning : Analysis of TCRBV (T-cell receptor B variable) gene usage of the T cell repertoire in patients with B cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (B-CLL) and age-matched healthy control donors showed that major perturbations were more frequently seen in the CD4+ T cell subset than in CD8 population. Analysis of the CDR3 length polymorphism revealed a significantly higher degree of clonality within the CD4+ and CD8+ T cell repertoire of patients as compared to the normal control population.
