  1. 11. Tax Avoidance, Dividend Signaling and Shareholder Taxation in an Open Economy

    Författare :Richard Löfqvist; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Economics; Tax avoidance; Dividends; Asymmetric information; Personal Taxes; Capital Taxes; Nationalekonomi; Economics; Nationalekonomi; nationalekonomi; Economics;

    Sammanfattning : Essay 1: The first essay contains an approach to calculate the avoidance from the income tax and the consumption tax using National Accountings data. Using Swedish data from 1994, the empirical findings indicate avoidance from both these taxes. Cross-border shopping appears to be small, 656 million SEK or 0. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Evaluating vehicle stability support systems by measuring, analyzing, and modeling driver behavior

    Författare :Gustav M Markkula; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; driver behavior; driver models; system evaluation; heavy trucks; driving simulators; active safety; electronic stability control;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents an investigation of near-accident behavior of truck drivers, with and without support from an electronic stability control (ESC) system. A critical scenario, involving both collision avoidance and vehicle stabilization on a low-friction surface, was studied in a driving simulator. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Driver behavior models for evaluating automotive active safety: From neural dynamics to vehicle dynamics

    Författare :Gustav M Markkula; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; simulation; active safety; control behavior; system evaluation; Driver models;

    Sammanfattning : The main topic of this thesis is how to realistically model driver behavior in computer simulations of safety critical traffic events, an increasingly important tool for evaluating automotive active safety systems. By means of a comprehensive literature review, it was found that current driver models are generally poorly validated on relevant near-crash behavior data. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress in Parents of Children on Cancer Treatment : Factor Structure, Experiential Avoidance, and Internet-based Guided Self-help

    Författare :Martin Cernvall; Louise von Essen; Gustaf Ljungman; Christine Eiser; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cancer and oncology; Children; Parents; Cognitive behavior therapy; Experiential avodiance; Posttraumatic stress symptoms; Depresssion;

    Sammanfattning : Having a child diagnosed with cancer is stressful and many parents of children on treatment for cancer report symptoms of posttraumatic stress (PTSS). The overall purpose was to, among parents of children on treatment for cancer, investigate the factor structure of PTSS; investigate the relationships between experiential avoidance (EA), rumination, PTSS and depression; and to develop, test, and evaluate a guided self-help intervention provided via the internet. 5. 15. Safety Evaluation Using Counterfactual Simulations: The use of computational driver behavior models in crash avoidance systems and virtual simulations with optimal subsampling

    Författare :Xiaomi Yang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; conflict and crash avoidance; safety assessment; active sampling; Advanced Driver Assistance Systems; Automated Driving Systems; counterfactual simulation; scenario generation; car-to-VRU;

    Sammanfattning : Traffic safety is a problem worldwide. In-vehicle conflict and crash avoidance systems have been under development and assessment for some time, as integral parts of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving Systems (ADS). LÄS MER
