   Sammanfattning : It is the aim of this thesis to contribute to a research-based understanding of researchers’ use of blogs as a part of scholarly communication. The following research questions guide the investigation: (1) How are scholarly blogs constructed and used as sociotechnical systems in scholarly communication? (2) Which roles do scholarly blogs play in relation to other forms of scholarly communication? (3) Which expressions of researchers’ relations to the public emerge in scholarly blogs?    Sammanfattning : The study inquires into how a specific piece of standardised information, namely the standard for bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), is configured in the practices of lifesaving and bystander CPR-training.    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to study how young women’s information literacies are enacted in practices related to evaluation and use of information sources before choosing a contraceptive and thereby to discuss how these practices relate to the young women’s sexual and civic identities.    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the role of beamlines with publication metadata from the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF a large scientific facility offering diverse conditions for scientific research. As a user-oriented Big Science facility, the ESRF channels extremely brilliant light into different experimental areas called beamlines that house specific instruments that cater to the needs of diverse user communities.
