  1. 1. Attosecond Electron Wave Packet Interferences

    Detta är en avhandling från Division of Atomic Physics, Department of Physics, Faculty of Engineering, LTH, Lund University

    Författare :Thomas Remetter; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Attosecond Bound Electron Wave Packet Dynamics; Attosecond Pulse Train; High-Order Harmonics; Electron Wave Packet Interferometry; Attosecond Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Attosecond pulses offer a new route to produce temporally localized electron wave packets (EWPs) that can easily be tailored by altering the properties of the attosecond pulses. In this thesis we will present different experiments, supported by theory, where attosecond EWPs are created in presence of a strong infrared (IR) field. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Attosecond Wave Packet Metrology

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Marko Swoboda; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molecular dissociation; Electron wave packets; Pulse characterization; Two-color harmonic generation; Attosecond pulse trains; Single attosecond pulses; Resonant two-photon ionization; Fysicumarkivet A:2010:Swoboda;

    Sammanfattning : Attosecond pulses allow the study of electrons on their natural timescale. They are created from the interaction of atoms with ultrashort, intense laser pulses whose electric field approaches the strength of inner-atomic electric fields. This thesis presents experiments around the generation, characterization and application of attosecond pulses. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Sources and Diagnostics for Attosecond Science

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Miguel Miranda; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2012]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pulse Compression; High-order Harmonic Generation; Ultrafast; Ultrashort; Attosecond; Femtosecond; Pulse Characterization; Fysicumarkivet A:2012:Miranda;

    Sammanfattning : Ultrafast science refers to physical events that happen on the femtosecond (1 fs=10^-15 s) and attosecond (1 as=10^-18 s) timescales. Generation of attosecond pulses is usually achieved by interacting high-intensity femtosecond pulses with matter (typically gases), in a process called high-order harmonic generation (HHG). LÄS MER

  4. 4. Time-Frequency Analysis in Attosecond Spectroscopy

    Detta är en avhandling från Division of Atomic Physics, Department of Physics, Faculty of Engineering, LTH, Lund University

    Författare :Marcus Isinger; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2018-12]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Attosecond; Spectroscopy; Time-Frequency; High-order harmonic generation; Rabitt; Interferometry;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with ultrafast dynamics of electronic processes in rare gas atoms. The processes we explore include photoemission, where we time the emission of electrons moving away from the atomic core following ionization by a photon; and auto-ionization, where the atom spontaneously releases an electron wave-packet following photo-excitation. 5. 5. Scaling and Gating Attosecond Pulse Generation

    Detta är en avhandling från Atomic Physics, Department of Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Christoph Heyl; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2014]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Coherent imaging; Ultrafast electron dynamics; Single attosecond pulses; Attosecond pulse trains; XUV sources; High-order harmonic generation; XUV frequency combs; Fysicumarkivet A:2014:Heyl;

    Sammanfattning : High-order harmonic generation (HHG) provides the basis for attosecond light sources delivering coherent pulses in the extreme ultraviolet spectral region. Such light sources are employed for a variety of applications within imaging, attosecond spectroscopy, and high-precision frequency metrology. LÄS MER
