    Sammanfattning : Uncontainable Life: A Biophilosophy of Bioart investigates the ways in which thinking through the contemporary hybrid artistico-scientific practices of bioart is a biophilosophical practice, one that contributes to a more nuanced understanding of life than we encounter in mainstream academic discourse. When examined from a Deleuzian feminist perspective and in dialogue with contemporary bioscience, bioartistic projects reveal the inadequacy of asking about life’s essence. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to show what values affect visions expressed in architectural competitions about housing and town planning in Swedish cities between 1989 and 2003. Four questions have guided the study: the changes that take place in the competition process; the social and spatial components and relations future neighborhood are put together of; the qualities that architectural competitions take into account; and the kind of urbanity the competitions lead to if the proposals are realised. It claims that in order to understand this capacity, we need to address the complexity of the transversal processes that make up artistic practices in this field, and understand that these transversal processes in fact precede sound.
