  1. 1. [11C]Carbon Monoxide and Aryl Triflates in Palladium-Mediated Carbonylation Reactions : Synthetic approaches to [11C]Carbonyl Compounds and [11C]Amines

    Författare :Obaidur Rahman; Bengt Långström; Fredrik Almqvist; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic chemistry; [11C]Carbon monoxide; Aryl triflates; Carbonylation; Organisk kemi; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The usefulness of low concentrations (typically 10 to 100 µM) of [11C]carbon monoxide and aryl triflates as substrates in 11C-carbonylation using different nucleophiles in the presence of lithium bromide was investigated. The reactions were performed in a micro autoclave of 200 µL volume and catalysed (mediated) by palladium(0). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Heck Reactions with Aryl Chlorides : Studies of Regio- and Stereoselectivity

    Författare :Gopal K. Datta; Mats Larhed; Anders Hallberg; Martin Oestreich; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Heck reaction; aryl chloride; vinyl ether; regioselective; stereoselective; palladium; chelation control; microwave; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Homogeneous palladium-catalyzed Heck vinylation of aryl chlorides was investigated under air using Herrmann’s palladacycle and the P(t-Bu)3-liberating salt [(t-Bu)3PH]BF4. Based on the results, controlled microwave heating was utilized to accelerate model Heck reactions with aryl chlorides down to 30 min employing an electron-poor olefin and a mixture of an ionic liquid and 1,4-dioxane as solvent. 3. 3. Palladium-Catalyzed Carbonylation and Arylation Reactions

    Författare :Jonas Sävmarker; Mats Larhed; Gary Molander; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; palladium; carbonylation; styrene; amidine; aryl ketones; aryl sulfinates; ESI-MS; aryltrifluoroborates; Organic Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Organisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Palladium-catalyzed reactions have found widespread use in contemporary organic chemistry due to their impressive range of functional group tolerance and high chemo- and regioselectivity. The pioneering contributions to the development of the Pd-catalyzed C-C bond forming cross-coupling reaction were rewarded with the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2010. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Efficient and High-Yielding Routes to Diaryliodonium Salts

    Författare :Marcin Bielawski; Berit Olofsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hypervalent Iodine Compounds; One-Pot Synthesis; Regiospecific Synthesis; Aromatic Substitution; Aryl Iodides; Arenes; Boronic Acids; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis summarizes three novel and general reaction protocols for the synthesis of diaryliodonium salts. All protocols utilize mCPBA as oxidant and the acids used are either TfOH, to obtain triflate salts, or BF3•Et2O that gives the corresponding tetrafluoroborate salts in situ. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Diaryliodonium Salts : Development of Synthetic Methodologies and α-Arylation of Enolates

    Författare :Marcin Bielawski; Berit Olofsson; Antonio Togni; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hypervalent Iodine Compounds; One-Pot Synthesis; Regiospecific Synthesis; Aromatic Substitution; Aryl Iodides; Arenes; Boronic Acids; Heteroaromatics; Arylations; Reaction Mechanisms; Density Functional Calculations; Large Scale Synthesis; Organic synthesis; Organisk syntes; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes novel reaction protocols for the synthesis of diaryliodonium salts and also provides an insight to the mechanism of α-arylation of carbonyl compounds with diaryliodonium salts.  The first chapter gives a general introduction to the field of hypervalent iodine chemistry, mainly focusing on recent developments and applications of diaryliodonium salts.
