    Sammanfattning : The thesis comprises a study of the personal names and designations recorded on the Knossos Linear B tablets. The tablets are largely fragmentary and are written in a syllabic script. When deciphered the language proved to be an early form of Greek.     Sammanfattning : This study examines the importance of the concept of Roma et Augustus, the close relationship between the Roman emperor and the city of Rome, in the reign of Honorius, who reigned in AD 395-423. Rome and the emperor were two of the most important and conspicuous manifestations of Roman civilisation and power, around which much of late antique ideology of authority and legitimacy was formulated.
