Sammanfattning : Syfte: Det övergripande syftet med denna licentiatavhandling är att beskriva resultat från en kartläggning av hälsosituationen hos nyanlända flyktingar som genomgår SFI studier samt att belysa den självskattade hälsorelaterade livskvalitet som arabisktalande deltagare i en specifik hälsofrämjande gruppaktivitet (Hälsoskola) beskriver före, efter samt vid en sexmånaders uppföljning av aktiviteten. 2. Child bilingualism in Sweden and Lebanon : A study of Arabic-speaking 4-to-7-year-olds
Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates the vocabulary and narrative skills of 100 Arabic-Swedish-speaking children (aged 4–7 years) in Sweden cross-sectionally and the development of these skills (4 to 6) in a subgroup of 10 children longitudinally. Also, the vocabulary skills of 100 Arabic-speaking bilingual children (aged 4–7 years) in Lebanon are investigated cross-sectionally and compared to the Swedish cross-sectional study. LÄS MER
3. Internet-based treatment of depression and anxiety among migrants and refugees in Sweden
Sammanfattning : There is a growing number of refugees and displaced persons worldwide, with many suffering the psychological consequences of traumatic and stressful events occurring both in their country of origin, during the migratory journey and after arriving in a new country. Sammanfattning : The Book of Daniel was translated into Arabic by and for Near Eastern Christians around the ninth century, as evident from extant manuscript sources. Approximately a dozen early (9th–13th centuries) Christian Arabic translations of this book have survived until today. With a few exceptions, these manuscripts contain independent translations. 5. The entrepreneurial financing of the immigrant entrepreneurs : An ambidexterity perspective
Sammanfattning : The idea of this dissertation originates from the intriguing conflict in practical, political, and academic discourses surrounding immigrant entrepreneurship. This conflict comprises two simultaneously opposing narratives: one acknowledging the substantial barriers impeding immigrant entrepreneurs’ (IEs’) efforts to access finance, and another lauding their remarkable contributions to the economies of host countries.
