21. Spray-Dried Powders for Inhalation : Particle Formation and Formulation Concepts
Sammanfattning : Spray drying is a method with a high potential in the preparation of protein particles suitable for pulmonary delivery. However, surface induced denaturation of bio-molecules during atomization and subsequent drying can be substantial and it is therefore important to develop new formulation concept for concurrent encapsulation and stabilization of proteins during spray drying. 22. On the lateral organisation of the thylakoid membrane
Sammanfattning : In this work the lateral heterogeneity of the thylakoid membrane was investigated by quantifying the amount of photosystem I (PSI), photosystem II (PSII) and some PSII complexes and PSII proteins in different domains of the thylakoid. Grana, grana core, grana margins and stroma lamellae + end fractions were obtained by sonication and separation in a non-detergent, aqueous polymer two-phase system. LÄS MER
23. Metal Binding Tags - Characterisation, Use in Bioseparation and Applications of Green Fluorescent Fusion Proteins
Sammanfattning : Most of the recombinant proteins produced nowadays are fused to affinity tags, in order to facilitate their purification through affinity chromato-graphy. Out the different tags available, poly-histidine tags are among the most commonly used and can help purification through immobilised metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC). LÄS MER
24. LIPASES AND PHOSPHOLIPASES IN PHOSPHOLIPID SYNTHESIS
Sammanfattning : The synthesis of phospholipids with defined fatty acid and polar head composition catalysed by lipases and phospholipases was investigated. Lipases from Rhizopus arrhizus and Candida antarctica were used for the direct acylation of DL-a-glycerophosphate and L-a-glycerophosphatidylcholine, with different fatty acids. LÄS MER
25. Amperometric Carbon Paste Biosensors Based on Horseradish Peroxidase and Oxidases
Sammanfattning : Amperometric carbon paste peroxide sensors based on horseradish peroxidase (HRP) were developed. In the first approach, HRP was chemically modified with polyethylene glycol to improve the stability of the enzyme in the organic paste matrix and compared with native HRP electrode. LÄS MER
