  1. 16. The effect of sex hormones on hemostasis and cardiovascular riskfactors in postmenopausal women

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Medicine

    Författare :Ulla Pripp; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Postmenopausal women; cardiovascular risk factors; hemostasis; ambulatory blood pressure; angina pectoris; HRT;

    Sammanfattning : The influence of cardiac riskfactors and sex hormones on hemostasis were studied in healthy women (n=260) in Study I. Body mass Index (BMI), dyslipidemia, surgical menopause, smoking and years since menopause were associated with an increase of 28% in fibrinogen levels. BMI, total cholesterol (tot. chol. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Mesenteriell ischemi (nedsatt blodcirkulation till tarm och övriga bukorgan) är vanligt förekommande vid ett flertal olika sjukdomstillstånd som t ex blödnings-, septisk och cirkulatorisk chock. Inte minst är tarmen mycket känslig för nedsättning av blodflödet. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Coagulation, fibrinolysis and inflammation in open surgery for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Anders Holmberg; Uppsala universitet.; [1999]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; Abdominal aortic aneurysm; blood coagulation; fibrinolysis; cytokines; leucocytes; flow cytometry; chemotaxis; lactoferrin; myeloperoxidase; Kirurgi; MEDICINE Surgery; MEDICIN Kirurgi; Surgery; kirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : Elective repair of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) carries a mortality of 4-8% and there is a substantial incidence of serious non-lethal complications. During surgery there is a situation of relative ischaemia and subsequent reperfusion of the lower part of the body. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Novel chemical and enzymatic routes to the generation of heparin- related polysaccarides

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Jianhui Rong; Uppsala universitet.; [1999]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Biochemistry; heparin; heparan sulphate; biosynthesis; 2-O-sulphotransferase; neo-glycosaminoglycan; conjugation; Biokemi; MEDICINE Chemistry Biochemistry; MEDICIN Kemi Biokemi; Medical Biochemistry; medicinsk biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Heparin and heparan sulphate (HS) are structurally related polysaccharides influencing various biological processes. The biological functions of heparin/HS largely depend on interactions between the negatively charged polysaccharide chains and a variety of proteins. LÄS MER

  5. 20. The effect of thrombin inhibitors on coagulation activity and generation of activated protein C

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Medicine

    Författare :Rikard Linder; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2002]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The direct thrombin inhibitor inogatran was, in the TRIM trial (n=1209), compared with unfractionated heparin (UFH) concerning the effect on cardiovascular end-points in unstable coronary artery disease. The results in TRIM demonstrated a trend towards a benefit for UFH during the treatment phase, which was reduced after drug withdrawal. LÄS MER
