1. Evaluation of a Swedish parental prevention program : youth drunkenness, alcohol-specific parenting and gender differences
Sammanfattning : Background: Research suggests that alcohol-specific parenting and parental prevention programs can be effective in the efforts to prevent underage drinking. The Örebro prevention program (ÖPP) is based on principles of alcohol-specific parenting and encourages parents to maintain restrictive attitudes towards underage drinking, with the aim to reduce youth drinking and drunkenness. 2. Fuel conversion and ash formation interactions : a thermochemical study on lignocellulosic biomass
Sammanfattning : Biomass is considered to be CO2 neutral, and to be able to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels the need for expanded and sustainable biomass feedstock is increasing. Ash-related problems are some of the most important aspects of this increasing use of new biomass assortments in thermal energy conversion systems. LÄS MER
3. Framing the water and sanitation challenge : A history of urban water supply and sanitation in Ghana 1909 - 2005
Sammanfattning : This thesis analyses the development of urban water supply and sanitation services in Ghana from 1909 to 2005. Special focus is put on institutional arrangements with regard to networked, large scale and centrally managed water and sewerage services. LÄS MER
4. Calibration of b-tagging and search for Dark Matter : Calibration of b-tagging efficiency and search for Dark Matter production in association with heavy flavour quarks with the ATLAS experiment
Sammanfattning : The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the most powerful and complex particle accelerator ever built. The ATLAS and the CMS are the two multipurpose particle detectors at the LHC, designed to cover a wide range of physics measurements. LÄS MER
5. Calibration of b-tagging efficiency and search for Dark Matter production in association with heavy flavour quarks with the ATLAS experiment
Sammanfattning : The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the most powerful and complex particle accelerator ever built. The ATLAS detector is a general-purpose particle detector at the LHC, designed to cover a wide range of physics measurements. LÄS MER
