    Sammanfattning : This study deals with the impact of industrialisation and urbanisation on the living conditions of aged men and women. By studying labour force participation, savings and pensions, the role of the family, and the extent of dependency of aged men and women from a gender and class perspective, continuities and changes between pre-industrial and industrial times are examined. The study is based on interviews with five Swedish teachers in Civics and on observations of their way of giving feedback in the classroom.     Sammanfattning : Lesjöfors, located in the municipality of Filipstad in Värmland, has a mining history dating back to the 1600s. In the mid-1970s, however, Lesjöfors, like Bergslagen at large, suffered from the international recession, and structural change had a major impact on this region, affecting society as well as individuals.     Sammanfattning : What do history teachers teach about? How do they represent it? Why do they choose to teach the way they do? The main purpose of this study is to analyse what teaching patterns and strategies history teachers in lower secondary schools use in their history teaching for pupils aged 13-16. An additional aim is to get hold of how teachers transform their knowledge and experiences into history teaching. LÄS MER
