    Sammanfattning : The present work concerns two Alpha class enzymes, GST A1-1 and GST A4-4, of the glutathione transferase (GST) family, which are detoxication enzymes catalyzing the conjugation of the tripeptide glutathione with various electrophiles. The GST A1-1 structure was explored for protein engineering purposes and tailored for increased activity toward alkenals. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Ionizing radiation induces a range of different DNA lesions. In terms of mutation frequency and mammalian cell survival, the most critical of these lesions is the DNA double-strand break (DSB). DSB left unrepaired or mis-repaired may result in chromosomal aberrations that can lead to permanent genetic changes or cell death. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Down syndrome (DS) is associated with psychomotor retardation, short stature and endocrine dysfunction. Statural growth is a well-known indicator of health.
