  1. 6. Stereoscopic Label Placement : Reducing Distraction and Ambiguity in Visually Cluttered Displays

    Författare :Stephen D. Peterson; Anders Ynnerman; Matthew Cooper; John Wann; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Label placement; user interfaces; stereoscopic displays; augmented reality; virtual reality; visual clutter; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : With increasing information density and complexity, computer displays may become visually cluttered, adversely affecting overall usability. Text labels can significantly add to visual clutter in graphical user interfaces, but are generally kept legible through specific label placement algorithms that seek visual separation of labels and other objects in the 2D view plane. 2. 7. Methods for Capacity Allocation in Deregulated Railway Markets

    Författare :Abderrahman Ait Ali; Jonas Eliasson; Anders Peterson; Maria Börjesson; Yves Crozet; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; railway capacity; capacity allocation; train timetable; cost benefit analysis; deregulated market; spårkapacitet; kapacitetstilldelning; tågtidtabell; samhällsekonomisk analys; avreglerad marknad;

    Sammanfattning : Faced with increasing challenges, railways around Europe have recently undergone major reforms aiming to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the railway sector. New market structures such as vertical separation, deregulation and open access can allow for reduced public expenditures, increased market competition, and more efficient railway systems. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Assessment of Robustness in Railway Traffic Timetables

    Författare :Emma V. Andersson; Jan Lundgren; Anders Peterson; Johanna Törnquist Krasemann; Thorsten Büker; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : A tendency seen for the last decades in many European railway networks is a growing demand for capacity. An increased number of operating trains has led to a delay sensitive system where it is hard to recover from delays, where even relatively small delays are easily propagating to other traffic. 4. 9. Optimisation models for train timetabling and marshalling yard planning

    Författare :Sara Gestrelius; Anders Peterson; Martin Aronsson; Pieter Vansteenwegen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Railways provide high capacity, safe and energy efficient transportation of goods and passengers. However, railway transportation also suffers from intrinsic restrictions and the effectiveness and efficiency of the transportation depend on the railway actors’ ability to solve a set of hard and interconnected planning problems. 5. 10. Microscopic Modeling and Simulation of Pedestrian Traffic

    Författare :Fredrik Johansson; Jan Lundgren; Anders Peterson; Andreas Tapani; Winnie Daamen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Walking is an environmentally friendly and important mode of transportation. It constitutes the first and last part of almost any trip, regardless of what the main mode of transport is, and is especially important in connection to public transport trips. LÄS MER
