16. Assessment of cerebrospinal fluid system dynamics : novel infusion protocol, mathematical modelling and parameter estimation for hydrocephalus investigations
Sammanfattning : Patients with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (INPH) have a disturbance in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) system. The treatment is neurosurgical – a shunt is placed in the CSF system. The infusion test is used to assess CSF system dynamics and to aid in the selection of patients that will benefit from shunt surgery. LÄS MER
17. Cerebrospinal fluid infusion methods : development and validation on patients with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus
Sammanfattning : Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) infusion tests can be used to estimate the dynamic properties of the CSF system. Idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (INPH) is a syndrome signified by a disturbance to the CSF system, where the cause is unknown and the diagnosis is difficult to determine. LÄS MER
18. Magister Mathias Lincopensis, Exposicio super Apocalypsim : Edited with an Introduction by Ann-Marie Billing-Ottosson
Sammanfattning : This dissertation contains the first critical edition of Exposicio super Apocalypsim, written by the Swedish 14th century theologian Magister Mathias Lincopensis. The commentary, which covers the first fifteen chapters of St. LÄS MER
19. Diffusion MRI with generalised gradient waveforms : methods, models, and neuroimaging applications
Sammanfattning : The incessant, random motion of water molecules within biological tissues reveals unique information about the tissues’ structural and functional characteristics. Diffusion magnetic resonance imaging is sensitive to this random motion, and since the mid-1990s it has been extensively employed for studying the human brain. LÄS MER
20. Wearable systems and sensors for the assessment of motor control : Development and validation of methods for clinical assessment of idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus
Sammanfattning : Human gait and balance are controlled by automatic processes in the central nervous system, and in sensory and proprioceptive systems. If a disturbance occurs in any of these complex structures, it may lead to balance and gait problems. LÄS MER
