People who suffer from a stroke and are not eligible for stroke alert are often transported to the emergency department (ED), where they risk experiencing a long length of stay (LOS) before being admitted to the stroke unit.     Sammanfattning : Background: Previous studies have shown a high incidence of both acute and post-traumatic stress among ambulance personnel. It has been shown that ambulance personnel are at a higher risk of being affected of heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer.
