16. Deformation and Fatigue Behaviour of Aluminium Alloys for High Specific Power IC Engine Applications
Sammanfattning : The development towards higher specific power and lower displacement engines in recent years has placed increasingly high thermal loads on the internal combustion engine materials. Further, the advent of hybrid power trains placing higher demands on quick starts and a rapid approach to maximum power necessitates the automotive industry to move towards a more robust computational thermo-mechanical fatigue life prediction methodology to develop reliable engines and reduce developmental costs. 18. Hydro-mechanical forming of aluminium tubes : on constitutive modelling and process design
Sammanfattning : Tube hydroforming is a forming method which has several advantages. By using pressure in combination with material feeding it is possible to manufacture products with high structural integration and tight dimensional tolerances. The forming method is especially suited for aluminium alloys which have a relatively low ductility. LÄS MER
19. Aluminium alloy development for Additive Manufacturing
Sammanfattning : Powder Bed Fusion (PBF Additive Manufacturing AM have emerged as a promising manufacturing process possessing a powerful combination of characteristics. Most noticeable are the near-net-shape, short lead time and flexibility, both with regard in design freedom and in part-to-part variation. LÄS MER
20. Inhibition of Aluminium Pigments for Waterborne Coatings
Sammanfattning : Micrometer-sized aluminium flakes for use as pigments in waterborne coatings need protection, since the reaction between aluminium and water causes formation of aluminium hydroxide and hydrogen gas. The aluminium hydroxide destroys the metallic appearance of the pigment flakes and the evolution of hydrogen gas leads to a dangerous pressure build-up in the paint containers. LÄS MER
