    Sammanfattning : This thesis has been concerned with studying the effects of pollution on aquatic ecosystems with the main emphasis on investigating the phytoplankton succession in the brackish bay of Brunnsviken after sewage diversion.The causes of the observed changes have been investigated through enrichment experiments with phytoplankton in batch cultures and in studies of the nutrient uptake kinetics of Enteromorpha compressa.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis I have investigated the effects of pesticide exposure on the ecosystem level using various types of experimental ecosystems, i.e. microcosms. The direct effect of exposure to cyperemthrin, a pyretroid insecticide, was a rapid decrease of crustancean zooplankton in enclosures in a lake. LÄS MER
