   Sammanfattning : Vitamin D is essential for bone function, and deficiency in active vitamin D hormone can lead to bone disorders. Long-term treatment with glucocorticoids and antiretroviral drugs used to treat HIV infection, results in osteoporosis and increased risk of fractures.
