Sammanfattning : The overall aims of the studies underlying this thesis were to investigate effects of key factors on the concentrations and composition of phytoestrogens and fatty acids in forage species, and effects of differences in their concentrations and composition in forage on their concentrations in bovine milk. In each of the spring cuts, the total isoflavone concentrations in red clover were higher at Umeå than at Skara. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Genetics of equine insect bite hypersensitivity and genetic diversity in horses

Författare :Merina Shrestha; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []

Sammanfattning : Genetic variation contributing to the phenotypic variation was utilized in this thesis to understand the genetic background of a complex trait IBH, and to understand genetic diversity and relationships between various horse populations. IBH is the most common skin allergic disorder in horses, caused by bites of midges, predominantly Culicoides species. LÄS MER
