    Sammanfattning : The climate change on our planet is an issue of great concern. The dignity of this issue was confirmed by the award of the international panel of climate change (IPCC) the Nobel peace prize. This problem arises from the way that we live our lives, how we produce energy, materials and chemicals from a fossil source. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Surface reactivity, stability, and mobility of metal nanoparticles in aqueous solutions : Influence of natural organic matter and implications on particle dispersion preparation

    Författare :Sulena Pradhan; Inger Odnevall Wallinder; Jonas Hedberg; Eva Blomberg; Emma Strömberg; Kerstin Forsberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nanoparticles; freshwater; di-hydroxybenzoic acid; humic acid; copper; aluminium; manganese; dissolution; agglomeration; stability; complexation; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The growing development of nanotechnology has resulted in an increased use of nanoparticles (NPs) in various applications ranging from medicine, military, to daily consumer products. There is a concern that NPs can be dispersed into the environment in various ways, for example to air and water during manufacture, use, incineration or recycling of products and thus pose a risk to health and the environment. 4. 14. Empirical Sudies in Trade, Growth and Integration

    Författare :Rasha M Tostensson; Nationalekonomiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Agglomeration; Urban Giants; Sensitivity Analysis; Income Distribution; Comparative Costs; Gravity Equation; Trade Volume; trade in the Middle East and North Africa; Total factor Productivity; Knowledge Transfer; Long-Run Growth; European Integration; Trade barriers.; International commerce; Internationell ekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The present study is composed of a series of six independent yet related articles treating various aspects of international trade and economic growth. In Chapter two the effects of European Integration (EI) on long-run economic growth is studied. Contrary to earlier empirical results long-run effects of EI are identified. LÄS MER

  5. 15. PFB Air Gasification of Biomass, Investigation of Product Formation and Problematic Issues Related to Ammonia, Tar and Alkali

    Författare :Nader Padban; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NH3 formation; agglomeration; thermal conversion; PNA; PAH; alkali; tar; Biomass; gasication; ammonia reduction; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Fluidised bed thermal gasification of biomass is an effective route that results in 100 % conversion of the fuel. In contrast to chemical, enzymatic or anaerobic methods of biomass treatment, the thermal conversion leaves no contaminated residue after the process. LÄS MER
