  1. 1. Ageing of Asphalt Mixtures : Micro-scale and mixture morphology investigation

    Författare :Prabir Kumar Das; Björn Birgisson; Nicole Kringos; Andreas Loizos; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ageing; Aggregate packing; Atomic force microscopy; Asphalt mixture; Bitumen; Diffusion; Finite element analysis; Gradation; Micro-structure; Mixture morphology; Oxidative ageing; Surface ageing;

    Sammanfattning : There are many variables that affect the viscoelastic properties of asphalt mixtures with time, among which age hardening may be considered one of the important ones. Age hardening of asphalt mixtures is an irreversible process, which contributes to a reduction of the durability of pavements and eventually increases the maintenance cost. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A Socio-Material Study of User Involvement : Interrogating the practices of technology development for older people in a digitalised world

    Sammanfattning : Population ageing and increased digitalization each constitute an ongoing and profound transformation within contemporary modes of living, as growing advances in technological development mix and intermingle with the lived realities of older people as the final recipients. It is against the backdrop of this interplay that user involvement has enjoyed ever-rising advocacy to an almost normative degree. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Quantitative studies of changes in microstructure and activity during ageing of supported catalysts

    Författare :Torben Pingel; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; supported nanoparticle catalyst; scanning electron microscopy SEM ; quantitative; bimetallic catalyst; ageing properties; CO oxidation; FIB SEM; specimen preparation; particle size distribution PSD ; transmission electron microscopy TEM ;

    Sammanfattning : Catalytic converters have substantially contributed to the improvement of air quality in populated areas in the last decades by abatement of the emission of hazardous componentssuch as CO, unburned hydrocarbons and NOx. However, due to the exposure to high temperature and different components in the exhaust gas, the performance of the catalysts degrades with time. LÄS MER
