    Sammanfattning : Additive Manufacturing (AM) has been gaining significant interest in the manufacturing of metallic materials in the recent years. From a techno-commercial standpoint, tooling is one of the areas with low production volumes but very high demands on part performance and complexity in design, all of which are characteristic for metal AM. Sammanfattning : Layer by layer manufacturing (additive manufacturing, AM) of metals is emerging as an alternative to conventional subtractive manufacturing with the goal of enabling near net-shape production of complex part geometries with reduced material waste and shorter lead times. Recently this field has experienced rapid growth through industrial adaptation but has simultaneously encountered challenges. LÄS MER

  3. 18. ELECTRON BEAM MELTING OF ALLOY 718 - POWDER RECYCLING AND ITS EFFECT ON DEFECT FORMATION

    Sammanfattning : As for any production process, the performance of additively manufactured components is ultimately dependent on the quality of the feedstock material. Consequently, for critical components, the feedstock needs to be carefully controlled to assure a stable and reliable quality. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Effects of retrieval and articulation on memory

    Författare :Max Larsson Sundqvist; Fredrik Jönsson; Timo Mäntylä; Peter Verkoeijen; Stockholms universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Many would agree that learning occurs when new information is stored in memory. Therefore, most learning efforts typically focus on encoding processes, such as additional study or other forms of repetition. However, as I will outline in this thesis, there are other means by which to improve memory, such as retrieval practice in the form of tests. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Electron beam-powder bed fusion of Alloy 718 : Effect of process parameters on microstructure evolution

    Författare :Paria Karimi Neghlani; Joel Andersson; Joakim Ålgårdh; Iain Todd; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Additive manufacturing; Electron beam-powder bed fusion; Microstructure evolution; Microstructure tailoring; Process understanding; Alloy 718; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM) is the technology of building 3D parts through layer-by-layer addition of material. Of the different types of AM techniques, electron beam-powder bed fusion (EB-PBF) has been used in this study. EB-PBF can build parts by melting metallic powders using an electron beam as the energy source. LÄS MER
