    Sammanfattning : This thesis analyses how societal adaptation processes in public and private sectors at the regional to local level in Sweden are enacted. The thesis pays particular attention to critical factors that constrain or enable adaptation by focussing on: who are the stakeholders, how do different stakeholders perceive their capacity to adapt, and the role of stakeholder interaction in facilitating adaptation processes A combination of two analytical perspectives is used where one is based on key concepts within adaptation literature, and the other draws on boundary crossing and transdisciplinary knowledge production (stakeholders, adaptive capacity, and science-based stakeholder dialogues). Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the topic of grounding in human-robot interaction, that is, the process by which the human and robot can ensure mutual understanding. To explore this topic, the scenario of a robot holding a presentation to a human audience is used, where the robot has to process multimodal feedback from the human in order to adapt the presentation to the human's level of understanding. 3. 3. Numerical simulation of tube hydroforming : adaptive loading paths

    Författare :Joakim Lundqvist; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The tube hydroforming process is still to be considered a new and advanced technique. The process has been adopted into several industries, e.g. automotive and aero. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Adaptive evolution in multidimensional trait spaces

    Författare :Paula Vasconcelos; Claus Rüffler; Maria Servedio; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; adaptive dynamics; mutidimensional trait spaces; evolutionary dynamics; disruptive selection; resource competition; diversification;

    Sammanfattning : Negative frequency-dependent disruptive selection, which arises due to the interplay between organisms of a population and their environment, is an important element driving phenotypic diversification and even speciation. Such selection regime can result from frequency- and density-dependent interactions between the organisms and their environment, so that the fitness landscape itself changes as the population evolves. 5. 5. Lärande i professionellt samtalsstöd : Villkor för vuxna arbetssökandes karriärprocesser

    Författare :Christer Langström; Camilla Thunborg; Marianne Döös; Tina Kindeberg; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Learning; Unemployment; Career Guidance; Career Coaching; Career Processes; Conditions; Recognition; Dialogue; Relationship; pedagogik; Education;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to contribute knowledge to how professional conversations such as career guidance and coaching contribute to adults’ learning in their career development. Unemployment is a topic that has recently gained much attention in the political debate as well as in society. LÄS MER
