    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the topic of grounding in human-robot interaction, that is, the process by which the human and robot can ensure mutual understanding. To explore this topic, the scenario of a robot holding a presentation to a human audience is used, where the robot has to process multimodal feedback from the human in order to adapt the presentation to the human's level of understanding. 2. 2. Efficient Electromagnetic Induction Modelling : Adaptive mesh optimisation, advanced boundary methods and iterative solution techniques

    Författare :Laura M. Buntin; Thomas Kalscheuer; Gunilla Kreiss; Zhengyong Ren; Klaus Spitzer; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Applied geophysics; Electromagnetic theory; Numerical Modelling; Geo-Electromagnetics; Magnetotellurics; Controlled-source electromagnetics; Goal-oriented adaptive mesh refinement; Perfectly-matched layers; Iterative solution methods; Preconditioning; Geofysik med inriktning mot fasta jordens fysik; Geophysics with specialization in Solid Earth Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Forward modelling of electromagnetic induction data simulates the electric and magnetic fields within a computational domain for a given distribution of electromagnetic material properties and a given source of the electromagnetic field. The quantities of interest are the fields at receiver locations at the Earth's surface. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Modelling the offset lithographic printing process

    Författare :Cristofer Englund; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Neural networks; Self-organizing map; Data mining; Outlier detection; Leverages; Committee; Adaptive modelling; Image analysis; Bildanalys;

    Sammanfattning : A concept for data management and adaptive modelling of the offset lithographic printing process is proposed. Artificial neural networks built from historical process data are used to model the offset printing process aiming to develop tools for online ink flow control. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Optimal (Adaptive) Design and Estimation Performance in Pharmacometric Modelling

    Författare :Alan Maloney; Ulrika Simonsson; Mats Karlsson; Andy Grieve; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Phase II; dose response; optimal design; adaptive design; exposure response; count data;

    Sammanfattning : The pharmaceutical industry now recognises the importance of the newly defined discipline of pharmacometrics. Pharmacometrics uses mathematical models to describe and then predict the performance of new drugs in clinical development. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Robust analysis of delaminating composites using adaptive isogeometric shell elements

    Författare :Elias Börjesson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; path-following solver; delamination; adaptive; Isogeometric analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Fibre reinforced composites are considered to be one of the material categories that offer the best possibilities to create efficient lightweight designs. Many companies in the transport sector therefore work towards increasing the amount of fibre composites in their products, in an attempt to lower the fuel consumption of their vehicles. LÄS MER
