11. Radiographic imaging in relation to the mandibular third molar : tooth characteristics, modality choice, optimization, and absorbed dose
Sammanfattning : Radiographic imaging of the mandibular third molar (M3) is a valuable diagnostic tool. It provides information on tooth position, root morphology, and relations to surrounding anatomical structures that facilitates diagnosis and treatment planning. LÄS MER

13. Patient Outcomes after Radiotherapy of Prostate Cancer. Impact of Absorbed Dose and Treated Volume
Sammanfattning : Abstract Backgound Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men in Sweden. Radiotherapy, including external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) and brachytherapy (BT), is important treatment alternatives to surgery and active surveillance. LÄS MER
14. Evaluation of absorbed dose uncertainty in modulated radiotherapy plans
Sammanfattning : The purpose of this work was to develop and evaluate methods to meet the challenges of quality control (QC) for modulated radiotherapy plans. It was shown that nine of 15 intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) plans, with deliberately introduced dose errors larger than 5% in at least one evaluated dose volume histogram (DVH) metric, were not detected with a QC method which combined Delta4 (ScandiDos) measurements and internationally recommended criteria for evaluation (Paper I). 15. Small-Scale Absorbed Dose Modelling in Selective Internal Radiation Therapy : Microsphere Distribution in Normal Liver Tissue
Sammanfattning : Radioembolisation (RE), with yttrium-90 (90Y) labelled microspheres, is an increasingly common treatment method for unresectable liver tumours. The tolerable mean absorbed dose for normal liver (NL) tissue is higher in RE than in External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT); absorbed dose heterogeneity is thought to be one important reason, together with a low absorbed dose rate, but the knowledge of microsphere distributions is limited.
