11. Top-Quark and Charged Higgs Boson Production at Hadron Colliders : Data Analysis at the DØ Experiment and Simulations for the ATLAS Detector
Sammanfattning : This thesis treats two different projects, both aiming at experimental tests at hadron colliders of some specific predictions of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics and of its Minimal Supersymmetric extension (MSSM). The thesis is based on four papers. LÄS MER
12. Hunting the Charged Higgs Boson with Lepton Signatures in the ATLAS Experiment
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents searches for a charged Higgs boson (H±) in proton-proton collisions with center-of-mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV, using data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Multiple search channels are used with the common characteristic of at least one charged lepton (electron or muon) that effectively reduces the multi-jet background and is used for efficient triggering. 13. Search for Pair-Produced Supersymmetric Top Quark Partners with the ATLAS Experiment
Sammanfattning : Searches for the supersymmetric partner of the top quark (stop) are motivated by natural supersymmetry, where the stop has to be light to cancel the large radiative corrections to the Higgs boson mass. This thesis presents three different searches for the stop at √s = 8 TeV and √s = 13 TeV using data from the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. LÄS MER
14. Luminosity determination and searches for supersymmetric sleptons and gauginos at the ATLAS experiment
Sammanfattning : This thesis documents my work in the luminosity and supersymmetry groups of the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The theory of supersymmetry and the concept of luminosity are introduced. The ATLAS experiment is described with special focus on a luminosity monitor called LUCID. LÄS MER
15. Searches for dark matter in association with top quarks with the ATLAS experiment
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a search for dark matter with the ATLAS experiment using 139 fb−1 of pp collision data at √s = 13 TeV delivered by the LHC from 2015 to 2018. The search targets a simplified model where a spin-0 scalar or pseudoscalar mediator particle, decaying to a pair of dark matter particles, is produced in association with a pair of top quarks.
