  1. 1. Outcome in psychiatric outpatient services : reliability, validity and outcome based on routine assessments with the GAF scale

    Författare :Per Söderberg; Stefan Tungström; Bengt-Åke Armelius; Odd E. Havik; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; reliability; validity; outcome; effectiveness; clinical; significance; GAF scale; DSM-IV; outpatients; psychiatry; dose response; services; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : The general aim of the studies presented in this thesis is to investigate the possibility of using clinical data to measure outcomes in psychiatric outpatient services. The specific aims are to investigate whether routine clinical assessments and ratings are reliable and have adequate validity, and then to use these data to calculate treatment outcomes and explore factors that affect these outcomes. 2. 2. Redundancy and Robustness Quantification of Bridge Systems based on Reliability and Risk Approaches

    Författare :Silvia Sarmiento; Gabriel Sas; Jaime Gonzalez-Libreros; Robert Hällmark; Thomas Blanksvärd; Sebastian Thöns; John Leander; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Existing bridges; reliability; risk; metamodel; Finite Element Modeling; Model tests; Byggkonstruktion; Structural Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last few decades, evaluating the performance of existing structures has become increasingly important, particularly as the number of bridges reaching their design life continues to rise. As a result, there is a growing need for effective and accurate procedures to guide the assessment of the current structures' capacity and safety levels to implement appropriate maintenance and rehabilitation strategies. 3. 3. Traffic Light System-BasicADL (TLS-BasicADL) Development, reliability, validity, clinical utility and patient perspective

    Författare :Gillian Asplin; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Outcome measures; Physiotherapy; ADL; reliability; validity; hip fracture; patient participation; functional balance; physical performance; patient experience; qualitative content analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: To describe the development of Traffic Light System-BasicADL (TLS-BasicADL), and procedures to establish properties of reliability, validity, clinical utility and patient perspective. TLS-BasicADL measures the patient’s ability to perform basic activities of daily living. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Swedish Version of the Philadelphia Geriatric Center Multilevel Assessment Instrument (PGCMAI) : Development and testing in an old-age population with locomotor disability

    Författare :Margareta Minhage; Elisabeth Hamrin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Gender; locomotor disability; PGCMAI; old age; reliability; validity; Nursing; Omvårdnad;

    Sammanfattning : The general aim was to examine the Swedish version of the Philadelphia Geriatric Center Multilevel Assessment Instrument, PGCMAI, in a population of old people with locomotor disability in Sweden. Specific aims were to examine whether the Swedish version of the PGCMAI meets the criteria of reliability and validity when assessing the life situation of Swedish old people with locomotor disability and to explore the pattern of the Swedish version of the instrument in respect of age and gender. 5. 5. Distal radioulnar joint: arthroplasty and strength assessments

    Författare :Peter Axelsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Distal Radioulnar joint arthroplasty; Forearm torque and lifting strength measurements; Normative data; Reliability; Validity; Responsiveness;

    Sammanfattning : The growing interest in distal radioulnar (DRUJ) disorders underlines the need for further improved evaluations of treatment outcome. Load-bearing and optimising torque are important features of the DRUJ, but they are rarely measured when assessing DRUJ interventions. LÄS MER
