1. "Ach Kinder" : zur Rolle des Kindes und der Familie im Werk Hans Falladas
Sammanfattning : This study primarily investigates the role of children in regard to the plot as well as to the characterization of adults in six novels by Hans Fallada. Discussed is furthermore Fallada's position as an author within the literary epoch of the "Neue Sachlichkeit", especially regarding his narrative technique that includes a dominating use of dialogue and a covert narrator. 2. Phylogenetic and taxonomic studies within Arthonia Ach. (Ascomycetes, Arthoniales)
Sammanfattning : The taxonomy and phylogeny of the genus Arthonia was analysed. As a first step, a phylogenetic analysis was performed to test the monophyly of some of the infrageneric groups suggested by earlier authors. The results strongly support that Arthonia, Arthothelium and Arthoniaceae are paraphyletic. LÄS MER
3. Spinal Acetylcholine Release : Mechanisms and Receptor Involvement
Sammanfattning : Impulses coming from peripheries are modified in the spinal cord and transmitted to the brain. Several neurotransmitters have been involved in the processing of impulses in the spinal dorsal horn. Acetylcholine (ACh) is one of many neurotransmitters involved in the regulation of nociception in the spinal cord. LÄS MER
4. Regulation by glutamate- and adenosine-receptors of dopamine and acetylcholine release from rat striatal slices
Sammanfattning : The striatum, which is critically involved in sensory motor integration, receives an excitatory glutamatergic input from the cerebral cortex and the thalamus. The effects of the glutamatergic stimulation are modulated by dopamine (DA) released from a prominent dopaminergic input, acetylcholine (ACh) released from cholinergic interneurons and by the ubiquitous neuromodulator adenosine. 5. Modulation of acetylcholine release by serotonergic 5-HT1A and 5-HT1B receptors : a microdialysis study in the awake rat
Sammanfattning : The aim of the thesis was to investigate the effects of the 5-HT1A receptor antagonist robalzotan (NAD-299) and the 5-HT1B receptor antagonist NAS-181 ((R)-(+)-2-(3-morpholinomethyl-2Hchromen-8-yl) oxymethyl-morpholine methanesulfonate) on cholinergic, glutamatergic and GABAergic neurotransmission in the rat brain in vivo. The extracellular levels of acetylcholine (ACh), glutamate (Glu) and GABA were monitored by microdialysis in the frontal cortex (FC) and ventral hippocampus (VHipp) in separate groups of awake rats.
