  1. 1. Global Proteome Survey -Transforming antibody-based affinity proteomics into a global discovery platform

    Författare :Niclas Olsson; Institutionen för immunteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; affinity proteomics; recombinant antibodies; Proteomics; mass spectrometry; proteome profiling; breast cancer; antibody specificity;

    Sammanfattning : Proteomics is expected to generate new insights into biological processes as well as identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets since most biological functions are transmitted through proteins. However, due to the complexity displayed by a proteome and inherent limitations associated with current methodologies, proteomic analyses often result in incomplete coverage and inconsistent measurements. 2. 2. Acceptance and Cognitive Restructuring : Analyses and comparisons from an emotion regulation perspective

    Författare :Martin Wolgast; Institutionen för psykologi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Cognitive restructuring; Acceptance; Emotion regulation; Cognitive Behavior Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy;

    Sammanfattning : The general aim of the present thesis was to further our understanding of cognitive restructuring and acceptance, both as concepts and as psychological processes related to emotion regulation. In doing this, concepts and processes related to cognitive restructuring and acceptance were examined in four different studies using different designs and methodologies. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The mechanism of HAMLET-induced cell death - cellular signalling, oncogenes and clinical perspectives

    Författare :Petter Storm; immunologi och glykobiologi - MIG Avdelningen för mikrobiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; HAMLET; cancer; cell death; c-Myc; glycolysis; hexokinase; ion channels; p38 MAPK; lipids; colon cancer; beta-catenin;

    Sammanfattning : Despite recent advances in cancer treatment, truly innovative approaches are required to move beyond the modest benefits achieved to date. HAMLET is a human protein-lipid complex originally discovered in breast milk able to kill a wide range of tumour cells while leaving healthy, differentiated cells unaffected. LÄS MER
