  1. 1. Mitochondrial dysfunction in ageing and degenerative disease

    Författare :Anna Wredenberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells contains a dynamic network of double-membraned organelles, called mitochondria, which perform the process of oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) that provides cellular energy in the form of ATP. The respiratory chain creates an electrochemical gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane, which drives ATP synthesis by the ATP synthase. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Experimental and numerical analysis of scratching of homogeneous materials

    Författare :Fredrik Wredenberg; Per-Lennart Larsson; Sture Hogmark; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Other engineering mechanics; Övrig teknisk mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : Paper AAbstractA numerical strategy based on the finite element method and intended for an accurate analysis of the scratch test is presented. For simplicity, but not out of necessity,the material was described by classical Mises elastoplasticity utilising large deformation theory. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On Reliability Methods Quantifying Risks to Transfer Capability in Electric Power Transmission Systems

    Författare :Johan Setréus; Lina Bertling; Roland Eriksson; Stefan Arnborg; Lars Wredenberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Power transmission reliability; power system security; reliability modeling; risk analysis for power systems; power system planning; Electric power engineering; Elkraftteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In the operation, planning and design of the transmission system it is of greatest concern to quantify the reliability security margin to unwanted conditions. The deterministic N-1 criterion has traditionally provided this security margin to reduce the consequences of severe conditions such as widespread blackouts. LÄS MER
