  1. 1. Degradation Mechanisms of Heat Resistant Steel at Elevated Temperatures In an Iron Ore Pelletizing Industry

    Detta är en avhandling från Luleå : Luleå University of Technology

    Författare :Erik A. A. Nilsson; Marta-Lena Antti; Ragnar Tegman; Jan-Erik Svensson; [2017]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; stainless steel; Grate-Kiln; microstructure; corrosion; as-casted; thermal cycling; erosion; deposition; Engineering Materials; Materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the different degradation mechanisms of the stainless steel in a travelling grate in a Grate-Kiln iron ore pellet indurator. The travelling grate is a conveyor belt that transports green-body pellets to a rotary kiln while the pellets are being dried and pre-heated to a temperature of 900-1100 °C by recycled hot air. 3. 3. Atlantic Water in the Nordic Seas A satellite altimetry perspective on ocean circulation

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University

    Författare :Sara Broomé; Johan Nilsson; Jonas Nycander; Léon Chafik; Michael A. Spall; [2020]

    Sammanfattning : The Atlantic Water in the Nordic Seas contributes to the mild climate of Northern Europe and is the main oceanic source of heat for the Arctic. The northward bound transport of the warm and saline Atlantic Water is mediated by a topographically constrained cyclonic boundary current along the Norwegian continental slope. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Molecular cytogenetic characterization of chromosome aberrations in soft tissue and bone tumors

    Detta är en avhandling från Divison of Clinical Genetics, Lund University

    Författare :Malin A Nilsson; [2005]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetik; cytogenetik; cytogenetics; Genetics; breakpoint mapping; FISH; structural rearrangements;

    Sammanfattning : Bone and soft tissue tumors (BSTT) belong to a diverse group of solid tumors of mesenchymal origin, with a large number of histological types affecting individuals of all ages. The general aim of the present thesis (Articles I-V) was to investigate in detail the genetic aberrations in selected subtypes of benign and malignant BSTT. LÄS MER

  5. 5. FOXC2 and CAPN10 as candidate genes for obesity, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes

    Detta är en avhandling från Endocrinology

    Författare :Emma A Nilsson; [2005]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Biomedicinska vetenskaper; Biomedical sciences; Type 2 diabetes; Genetics; Obesity;

    Sammanfattning : The worldwide prevalence of obesity and type 2 diabetes is increasing rapidly. Both disorders depend on genetic and environmental factors. The studies included in this thesis investigated the possible association of the FOXC2 and CAPN10 genes with obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and related phenotypes. LÄS MER
