1. 3D Verification of Dynamic and Breathing Adapted Radiotherapy using Polymer Gel Dosimetry
Sammanfattning : Polymer gel dosimetry has been used since the 1990s, and several studies have shown that this detector system can be used for verification of static absorbed dose distributions in three dimensions (3D). Its unique properties, such as high resolution, normal tissue equivalence and independency of energy, field size and direction of the incident radiation, should also be advantageous for dosimetric verification of radiotherapy using today’s and tomorrow’s dynamic delivery techniques. 2. Numerical Optimization of a propeller in a given wake and behind a ship
Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis includes two stages in a research project at the Rolls-Royce University Technology Center (UTC) at Chalmers Technology University. The objective of the project is to develop an optimization technique for ship/propeller interaction. LÄS MER
3. Radiotherapy Gel Dosimetry: Development and Application of Normoxic Polymer Gels
Sammanfattning : In many radiotherapy applications, true three-dimensional dosimetry with good spatial resolution that can be achieved in a single measurement would be of great value. Polymer gel dosimetry fulfils many of the demands on such a system. In this study, methods to facilitate the implementation of gel dosimetry have been investigated. LÄS MER
4. Validation and Application of CFD to Safety-Related Phenomena in Lead-Cooled Fast Reactors
Sammanfattning : Carbon-free nuclear power production can help to relieve the increasing energy demand in the world. New generation reactors with improved safety, sustainability, reliability, economy and security are being developed. Lead-cooled fast reactor (LFR) is one of them. LÄS MER
5. Sequential 3D Integration - Design Methodologies and Circuit Techniques
Sammanfattning : Sequential 3D (S3D) integration has been identified as a potential candidate for area efficient ICs. It entails the sequential processing of tiers of devices, one on top the other. LÄS MER
