  1. 1. Interdisciplinary rehabilitation in patients with chronic pain : prognostic factors and effectiveness

    Författare :Elena Tseli; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Interdisciplinary multimodal pain rehabilitation (IMPR) is currently considered best practice for combatting chronic pain. However, it is believed that health-related outcomes could be improved with more adequately tailored treatment programs, but consensus of what grounds these adaptations should be based on is yet to be reached. Sammanfattning : Throughout the last century, medical imaging has come to revolutionise the way we diagnose disease, and is today an indispensable part of virtually any clinical practice. In cardiovascular care imaging is extensively utilised, and the development of novel techniques promises refined diagnostic abilities: ultrasound elastography allows for constitutive tissue assessment, 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enables full-field flow mapping, and micro-Computed Tomography (CT) permits high-resolution imaging at pre-clinical level. 4. 4. Development of novel molecular and microfluidics tools for identification and characterization of latent HIV-1 reservoir

    Författare :Wang Zhang; Aman Russom; Ujjwal Neogi; Afshin Ahmadian; Utkan Demirci; KTH; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; HIV-1; Latent HIV-1 reservoir; HIV-1 characterization; Microfludics; Molecular detection; Medical Technology; Medicinsk teknologi;

    Sammanfattning : The existence of latent HIV-1 reservoir (LR) in all HIV-1 infected patients serves as a major obstacle to completely cure HIV-1 infection. However, up to now there is still no available assay that provides an accurate measurement of the reservoir size. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Patient experiences and the influence on health literacy and self-care using mHealth to manage symptoms during radiotherapy for prostate cancer

    Författare :Mats Christiansen; Kay Sundberg; Ann Langius-Eklöf; Veronica Lindström; Birgitta Johansson; Maria Hägglund; Per Fransson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Prostate cancer is a diagnosis that can affect the men’s quality of life both due to the symptoms related to the disease and the treatment the men receive. Treatment with radiotherapy for prostate cancer in Sweden takes place at outpatient clinics, where the patient visits daily for radiotherapy and then returns home. LÄS MER
