    Författare :ADRIAN NILSSON DAHLQVIST; Kraftverksteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Gas turbine; combined cycle; conceptual design; aerodynamic; mid-span design; through-flow design; oxy-fuel; SCOC-CC; OCC; gas turbine; Combined cycle; conceptual design; aerodynamic; mid-span design; Through-flow design; Oxy-fuel; SCOC-CC; OCC;

    Sammanfattning : The world is today facing a serious problem with global warming, which is heading towards an appallingly high temperature level. The greater part of the overall climate science community agree that global warming is caused by the greenhouse effect, which depends largely on emitted CO2 emissions from the combustion of fossil fuel. 2. 2. Preliminary Design Investigations for the Selection of Optimum Reaction Degree for 1st Stage of a High Pressure Gas Turbine

    Författare :Hina Noor; Torsten Fransson; Konstantinos G. Kyprianidis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 1D design; aerodynamic design parameters; flow kinematic; thermodynamics; rotor inlet temperature; cooled turbine; reaction degree; flow coefficient; stage loading;

    Sammanfattning : One-dimensional (1D) turbine design calculation phase requires a handful of input data and choice of design parameters to provide the blade flow path geometry along with the flow kinematics and thermodynamics properties at the blade mid-span. The choice of important aerodynamics design parameters namely reaction degree, nozzle guide vane NGV exit flow angle or flow coefficient and stage loading defines the mid-span flow velocity triangles. 3. 3. Computational Methods for Design, Planning and Verification regarding Deformable 1D Objects

    Författare :Tomas Hermansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; production planning; simulation of deformable 1D objects; variation analysis; non-linear optimization; path planning; assembly verification; routing design;

    Sammanfattning : The industry of today is focused on using virtual tools in the realization of new products. As late changes in a design and planning concept can be extremely costly, there are many benefits to discovering and addressing problems as early as possible: fewer iterations between the different product realization phases and shorter lead-times, reduced numbers of physical prototypes and test series, fewer on-line adjustments in the production system and, in the end, a product of a higher quality. 4. 4. Computational Methods for Deformable 1D Objects in Virtual Product Realization

    Författare :Tomas Hermansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; assembly verification; variation simulation; robust design; path planning; Cosserat rod theory; deformable 1D objects; automatic routing;

    Sammanfattning : In industry today, virtual design tools are used in the realization of a new product. As changes in the design and planning concepts are extremely costly in the later verification and production phases, much can be gained if a product design can be optimized and verified with respect to the assembly process with simulation tools as early as possible. 5. 5. Drip Sealing Grouting of Tunnels in Crystalline Rock: Conceptualisation and Technical Strategies

    Författare :Christian Butron; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; icicle formation; drip sealing; unsaturated flow; rock fracture; dripping.; channels; crystalline rock; design; Grouting; ice growth; evaluation;

    Sammanfattning : A conceptual model of the groundwater hydraulic conditions around the tunnel contour in ancient brittle crystalline rocks has been developed and verified. The general aim has been to reach an understanding of the groundwater conditions in and close to the tunnel roof where dripping takes place and to propose technical and practical strategies for waterproofing.
