  2. 17. Nucleic acid analysis tools : Novel technologies and biomedical applications

    Författare :Iván Hernández-Neuta; Mats Nilsson; Frank Bier; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nucleic acid analysis; padlock probes; selector probes; rolling circle amplification; microfluidics; single-molecule detection; digital quantification; fluorescence microscopy; mobile phone microscopy; molecular diagnostics; virology; Biochemistry; biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Nucleic acids are fundamental molecules of living organisms functioning essentially as the molecular information carriers of life. From how an organism is built to how it responds to external conditions, all of it, can be found in the form of nucleic acid sequences inside every single cell of every life form on earth. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Crystallization of Metal Fluoride Hydrates from Mixed Acid Solutions

    Författare :Kerstin Forsberg; Åke Rasmuson; Alison Lewis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; crystallization; crystal growth; b-FeF3.3H2O; iron fluoride trihydrate; CrF3.3H2O; pickling; pickle bath; hydrofluoric acid; nitric acid; stainless steel; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In this work crystal growth and nucleation of b-FeF3×3H2O and crystallization of chromium (III), iron (III) and nickel (II) fluoride hydrates from mixed acid (1-3 mol/kg HNO3 and 1-6 mol/kg free HF) have been investigated. The solubility of b-FeF3×3H2O has been determined in solutions of different hydrofluoric acid (1-7mol/ kg) and nitric acid (0-7mol/ kg) concentrations at 30, 40 and 50°C. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Physical properties and crystallization of theophylline co-crystals

    Författare :Shuo Zhang; Åke Rasmuson; Per Svensson; Mårten Behm; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Theophylline; oxalic acid; glutaric acid; maleic acid; co-crystal; decomposition temperature; melting temperature; solubility; crystallization; Molecular transport processes in chemical process engineering; Molekylära transportprocesser i kemisk processteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This work focuses on the physical properties and crystallization of theophyline co-crystals. Co-crystals of theophylline with oxalic acid, glutaric acid and maleic acid have been investigated. The DSC curves of these co-crystals show that their first endothermic peaks are all lower than the melting temperature of theophylline. LÄS MER
