1. Telemonopolens strategier : en studie av telekommunikationsmonopolens strategiska beteende vid liberalisering av teleoperatörsbranschen
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the strategic behaviour of the three operators (Televerket/Telia, PTT Telecom and BT) on strong technological development and deregulation of the business during a period of fifteen years have been described, interpreted and analysed. Some thirty more operators have also been investigated in this respect - however not in depth. LÄS MER
2. A Few-Mode-Fiber Platform for Quantum Communication Applications
Sammanfattning : Society as we know it today would not have been possible without the explosive and astonishing development of telecommunications systems, and optical fibers have been one of the pillars of these technologies.Despite the enormous amount of data being transmitted over optical networks today, the trend is that the demand for higher bandwidths will also increase. 3. Vitamin B6 as a potential antioxidant : a study emanating from UV-B-stressed plants
Sammanfattning : Increased influx of solar UV-B radiation (280-320 nm), due to a decreasing stratospheric ozone layer, impacts severely on plants. Some of the UV-B effects on plants are related to stress induced by produced reactive oxygen species (ROS). Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) has been reported to be a potential quencher of ROS. LÄS MER
4. La reconstitution du verbe en égyptien de tradition 400-30 avant J.-C
Sammanfattning : Two variants of ancient Egyptian were used for different categories of written communication during the last millennium B.C. The vernacular, known as Demotic, served as the written language for administrative, legal and literary documents. LÄS MER
5. The molecular mechanisms behind perception and signal transduction of UV-B irradiation in Arabidopsis thaliana
Sammanfattning : Elevation of UV-B radiation (280-315 nm), occurring as a result of depletion of the stratospheric ozone, causes a number of physiological and biochemical changes in plants. Damage to the photosynthetic apparatus (including the bleaching of the pigments which trap the sun's energy), to the processes of cell division and growth regulation, and to the composition and replication of genetic material are just some of these changes.
