  1. 1. Predicting suicide attempt and suicide : the role of standardised instruments in a psychiatric cohort

    Författare :Åsa Lindh; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Aim. The aim of this thesis was to assess the role of standardised instruments in prediction of suicide attempt and suicide in patients known to have an increased risk of these outcomes, namely patients with self-harm. Method. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Food hypersensitivity among schoolchildren : prevalence, Health Related Quality of Life and experiences of double-blind placebo-controlled food challenges

    Författare :Åsa Strinnholm; Rönmark Eva; Viveca Lindh; Linnéa Hedman; Inger Kull; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Epidemiology; food-induced symptoms; food-reintroduction; interview;

    Sammanfattning : Background: The prevalence of reported food hypersensitivity among children has increased in Western countries. However, the prevalence varies largely due to differences in methods used in different studies. Double-blind placebo-controlled food challenge (DBPCFC) is the most reliable method to verify or exclude food hypersensitivity. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Sample preparation and analysis of metabolites from plants in the families of Cyperaceae, Poaceae and Apiaceae

    Författare :Linus Svenberg; Åsa Emmer; Jenny Lindh; Margareta Sandahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Gas chromatography; Mass spectrometry; Ultrasound assisted extraction; Solid-phase microextraction; Volatile compounds; Allelopathy; Bioassay; Gaskromatografi; Masspektrometri; Ultraljudsassisterad extraktion; fastfas-mikroextraktion; Flyktiga ämnen; Allelopati; Bioanalys; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : An important aspect of understanding how plants effect their environmentis the study of volatile compounds and how these influence interactions between plants and other living organisms. The study of these secondary metabolites from plants can be used in practical applications, such as behaviour control of insects, and is an important part in the search for novel compounds that can be used to influence the behaviour of disease spreading vectors.
