Sammanfattning: The thesis deals with appropriate methods to determinate load-bearing capacities of timber structures joints using angle brackets with a rib. In these joints, annular ring nails were used as connectors.During an experimental approach, full-scale load tests of whole joints were performed. Their load-bearing capacity was evaluated according to the actual Standards.During an analytic approach, calculation procedures were determined to calculate load-bearing capacities of tested joints and used connectors – annular ring nails.During numerical approach, full-scale experiments of the joints were simulated in Abaqus CAE software.To sum up, results according to these three methods are directly compared in the thesis. Moreover, thanks to the calculation methods validated in this thesis, the BOVA Březnice Ltd. changed the geometry of produced metal works and significantly improved its load-bearing capacities.
