Sammanfattning: The present dissertation deals with the love poetry of Francisco de Quevedo (1580-1645). Among his extensive and rich poetic production, the text concentrates on the Petriarchic canzioneri Canta sola a Lisi (1648). The thesis is based on the hypothesis that it is possible to trail the ideology present in the rest of Quevedo’s work in this particular collection of poems as well. Aspects such as misogyny, antisemitism and the reaffirmation of Spanish values are studied. In order to verify the hypothesis the theoretical model used is principally based on theoretical principles elaborated by Riffaterre (the archilecteur, the lecteur informant and the hypogram) and by Gennette (the paratext). The dissertation suggests the possibility of establishing hypograms of ideological character in the corpus of love poetry of Canta sola a Lisi. In the context of the major ideological and poetic ideas of the period, the author sets out to establish ideological bonds between the corpus material and the rest of Quevedo’s work. The dissertation consists of seven chapters. In the first chapter, the hypothesis – i.e. that there exists an ideological unity between this particular collection of poems and the rest of Quevedo’s work – and the methodology are introduced.. The theoretical chapters, 2 and 3, deal with, firstly, the process of reading suggested in order to study the canzioneri, and, secondly, the concept of ideology. Chapters 4 and 5 are dedicated to the poetics of Quevedo and the edition of the corpus that is being studied. In chapter 6 an in-depth analysis of one part of the corpus is made, and in chapter 7 the final considerations are presented.
