  1. 1. Dopaminergic stabilizers for the treatment of schizophrenia. Rat studies focusing on negative symptoms and mechanisms of action

    Författare :Johan P. Rung; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ACR16; dopaminergic stabilizers; -MK-801; motor activity; negative symptoms; - -OSU6162; prolactin; rat; schizophrenia; social withdrawal;

  2. 2. Gluten challenge in children with coeliac disease. With special reference to dose dependence and impact on growth markers and growth hormone secretion

    Författare :Ulf Jansson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Coeliac disease; children; gluten challenge; gluten dose; symptoms; enteropathy; ALP; ALAT; ASAT; albumin; IGF-I; GH.;

    Sammanfattning : Coeliac disease is a prevalent food intolerance in both children and adults, in which ingestion of gluten causes inflammation of the small intestine. This inflammation resolves upon gluten withdrawal, and gluten challenge induces relapse of enteropathy in susceptible individuals. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Background Animal models can be used to mimic human conditions of psychopathology, and also as pre-clinical models to evaluate candidate drugs. With hormonal treatment it is possible to produce behavior in the rat which corresponds to the mental symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS), and pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The mesolimbocortical dopamine (DA) system is pivotal for the mediation of the reinforcing effects of many dependence-producing drugs. It consists of cell bodies in the ventral tegmental area (VTA) that project to e.g. the nucleus accumbens (NAC), the central nucleus of amygdala (CNA) and the medial prefrontal cortex. LÄS MER
